Connect Cursor to PaperOffice

Create a user token

  1. Sign in at app.paperoffice.ai and open Account → API.
  2. Create a user token (po_ut_…) or use a group token (po_gt_…) provided by your admin.
  3. Copy the token once — it is shown only at creation.

Secret keys (po_sk_) and publishable keys (po_pk_) are blocked for MCP.

mcp.json

Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (global) or .cursor/mcp.json in the project:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "paperoffice": {
      "url": "https://mcp.paperoffice.ai/cursor",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer po_ut_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" }
    }
  }
}

Restart Cursor or reload the MCP servers. PaperOffice appears under Settings → MCP with a green status.

Scope

The Cursor profile is the full Documents Operations catalog (same as /dms, including text-to-speech). Permissions follow the token's user.

Rotate or revoke

Deactivate the token under Account → API; Cursor loses access immediately. Never commit mcp.json with a real token to a repository — use the global file or an environment variable.
