Integration of a new QNAP NAS database in PaperOffice

The setup instructions for your QNAP NAS can be found in detail in a separate HelpDesk entry.

After the setup has been carried out on your QNAP NAS, a database connection must be established from PaperOffice to the database that has just been set up on your QNAP.

Start PaperOffice and click "Continue" . If you are currently connected to a database (local or otherwise), this connection must be disconnected. You can find detailed instructions on this here .

Then select "Start database manager" .
In the next step, select the storage medium "QNAP NAS" and click on the corresponding image.

Select database QNAP

Select "Create new PaperOffice database" and in the next step enter the IP address of your QNAP NAS in the "QNAP IP address" area.

Enter QNAP data and connect

Then click on "Check information, save and continue" .

The new PaperOffice database will now be created. The process takes a moment.
In the next step, the unique MasterKeys are generated for the database that has just been created. Save them carefully.

After both security keys have been saved, click on "Everything is done. You can continue" .

A new database has now been created and you are connected to it.
Click on "Continue" to log in.
From now on PaperOffice will use the SQL database that has just been created for the entire storage.
This completes the complete setup and the database connection with PaperOffice.
