What it is and what it is for
The Security Center shows the devices and sessions of your account. There you lock a lost or sold smartphone right away. The lock for all accounts exists only for smartphones and tablets. Only the account that owns the device can trigger it.
How it works
- In the right sidebar, open Team & Security → Security Center.
- Find the device under Registered Devices. The Smartphones filter helps.
- Open the three-dot menu of the device.
- Choose Lock device for all accounts and confirm. All sessions on the device end.
Good to know
- Invalidate only disconnects the device from your account. It must be paired again afterwards.
- Remove deletes the device record permanently.
- You pair a locked device again only with Add mobile device, not with “Reconnect mobile device”.
- The root account sees the devices of all users.
- When you sign in, PaperOffice can ask for a confirmation code, for example on a new device or from an unusual network. The code is sent by email or, if a phone number for two-factor sign-in is set up for the user, by SMS. You switch on two-factor sign-in per user in Users Management; this requires active auto-refill, because sending codes is paid. An authenticator app is not available yet.
- An IP whitelist exists for API keys. An IP restriction for users or groups currently has no effect.
- You set up a Windows Hello passkey on the same page.
