What it is and what it is for
The Trust Agent checks PDF documents for technical anomalies. It looks for hidden text, text under an opaque area, embedded files, JavaScript and differences between the visible content and the text layer. PaperOffice AI stores the result as a trust certificate on the document. Important: it only works with PDFs. The result is an assessment with evidence, not a finding of fraud.
How it works
- Open Document AI → Trust Agent and click Create Trust Agent.
- Choose the Verification profile, for example Invoice or Contract, and the tier Basic, Premium or Ultra. Save the agent.
- Open Documents and select the PDFs.
- Choose Actions → Agents & workflows → Trust → Check with Trust Agent. Pick the agent and click START TRUST AGENT.
- Open the result with Actions → Agents & workflows → Trust → View certificate. Without a certificate, use Check now there.
Good to know
- Basic: quick technical check with a risk score and a recommendation. Premium: compares what is visible with the text layer and can create a copy with highlighted findings. Ultra: in addition, AI inspects the pages and creates a combined report as PDF.
- The original stays unchanged. Only a copy is marked.
- A badge on the preview shows the status. If the file changes after the check, the result no longer applies. Check again.
- The check is a paid feature.
