What it is and what it is for
For contracts, PaperOffice reads the key dates: start date, term, end date, notice period, termination point, automatic renewal and contract type. From these it calculates the last day you can cancel. This works in the AI-DMS tiers Premium and Ultra.
How to do it
- File the contract in a workspace with the Premium or Ultra tier.
- Wait until processing has finished.
- Open the contract on the Overview tab.
- Read the Deadlines card. It shows, for example, “Contract termination no later than” with the days remaining.
- Use “Source: Page” to check the passage in the contract.
Good to know
- The fields are filled only for contracts, for example amendments, NDAs, data processing agreements, rental, leasing, loan and employment contracts, and insurance policies.
- The date is recalculated each time you open the document.
- If the contract renews automatically and the deadline was missed, the card shows the next chance to cancel.
- Without renewal, the card shows “Expires on”.
- The Basic tier does not read these contract fields.
- If you want a reminder, create a task with a due date on the Activities tab.
