Virus scan on upload and on email intake

What it is and what it is for

PaperOffice AI automatically checks files for viruses and threats before they are stored. You do not need to set anything up. Important: an infected file is rejected and deleted. There is no virus quarantine from which you could restore the file.

How it works

  1. Upload files to Documents as usual.
  2. During the upload you see Checking for viruses and threats…. If the file is clean, No threat found appears.
  3. If a file is rejected, you see The file was rejected by the security check. Check the file with your own antivirus and ask the sender for a clean copy.

Good to know

  • If the check is briefly unavailable, the file is not stored either, for safety reasons. You then see Security check temporarily unavailable. Try again shortly.
  • A password-protected PDF that is unlocked during upload is checked again after unlocking.
  • Attachments from the email intake are checked the same way. An infected attachment is not imported.
  • Files you upload to a knowledge base are checked as well.
  • The virus scan is not the security quarantine of the AI-DMS Ultra audit. That one applies to stored documents with a high fraud risk.
