Issue:

When starting and logging into PaperOffice, only the "Status - Last Invoice" window appears, and no other application windows or options are visible.

Cause:

This issue is typically caused by corruption, deletion, or unauthorized modification of local PaperOffice access files. This can happen due to interference from third-party software such as antivirus programs or system updates (e.g., Windows Update).

Solution: Reset the Local PaperOffice Directory

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Close PaperOffice if it is currently running.

Press Windows + R, type %localappdata%, and press Enter.
(This opens the "C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local" folder.)

Locate and delete the folder named "PaperOffice".

Navigate to "C:\Users\your_username\PaperOffice" and delete this folder as well.

Ensure the latest PaperOffice version is installed (even if only for testing). If your installation is not up to date, download and install/update to the newest release before launching again.

Once deleted, launch PaperOffice again. The application will automatically regenerate a fresh local directory.

Important:

After restarting PaperOffice, you will need to log in again using your registered email and password.
This procedure generally does not require a reinstall of PaperOffice, as it concerns only local configuration files and not the core installation. However, if you are not on the latest release, please update/install the current PaperOffice version (even testwise) before signing in.

Sign-in note:

If, after launching, you see "User account does not exist", click "Reset password" and follow the instructions to set a new password for your registered email address.
