What a document type is for

A document type says what kind of document this is and which rules belong to it: classification, retention and optionally a default IDP agent. Workspace processing detects a type and suggests where to file it: Document AI: what is read from a document?.

Create

1. Document AI → Document types.
2. New document type.
3. In the dialog, complete Basics, Legal region, Default IDP Agent, Retention and Templates.
4. Save.
