What it is and what it is for
Do invoices arrive by email? A connector checks your mailbox regularly. Every new email and its attachments become documents in the target workspace. There they are processed like any other upload.
How to do it
- Open Document AI → Storage Mounts and click Add Storage Mount.
- Choose Use as import source and the connection type Email (IMAP).
- Enter the IMAP server, port 993, username or email and the password. Keep Use SSL/TLS switched on. Save.
- Open Document AI → Connectors and click Create connector.
- Select the mailbox and the Target Workspace.
- Set the polling interval. Choose whether only unread emails are fetched and then marked as read.
- Choose the Follow-up action after import: keep, move to an archive folder or delete. Save.
Good to know
- The shortest interval is 5 minutes.
- If your provider requires an app password, enter it in the password field.
- Identical content is not imported twice.
- If you change the target workspace, only new emails go there. Emails already imported stay where they are.
