Free plan: for getting started, not free processing
Billing by usage instead of per user: even on the Free plan, every feature that uses AI, document processing or the API consumes Credits, for example text recognition, data extraction or chatting with documents. The Free plan needs no credit card. It includes the DMS with workspaces, folders, versions, search and access rights, plus one-time starter credits. Once they are used up, further processing needs a paid plan or wallet credit.
What is free without an account
- The web tools on paperoffice.ai, for example merge, split, redact or sign PDFs. They run in the browser and file nothing in a workspace.
- Image to text: a web tool recognises text in photos, scans and PDFs, for short documents (up to 5 pages). It only returns text, files nothing and does not replace processing in PaperOffice AI.
- The PaperOffice PDF Reader: reading and the basic features work without sign-in. More tools and AI need an account and are paid features.
Good to know
- In the app no processing feature is free; anything that consumes Credits is a paid feature.
