How do I connect a mailbox?

The storage mount first

  1. Document AI → Storage mounts → Create.
  2. Purpose Use as import source. IMAP is not BYOS storage.
  3. Connection type Email (IMAP).
  4. Enter host, port 993, user, password and SSL. The folder default is INBOX. If the provider requires an app password, that password belongs in the password field.
  5. Test connection, then save.

If the test fails, read it the same way as SFTP (host, sign-in, folder): Connection test failed.

Then import

  1. Document AI → Workspaces, select the target workspace.
  2. Actions → Import documents.
  3. Source Email Archive.
  4. Choose the saved IMAP import source and enter the mailbox, default INBOX.
  5. Review and start the import.
